Born in 1983, LIN Wei-Hsiang obtained his MFA from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts and Crafts Education of National Hsinchu University of Educations. Lin has long felt a deep connection with nature, and he often goes on long walks in the mountains for inspiration. At a time when most of his peers look to create with novel mediums and subject matters, Lin maintains his traditional approach and makes a large number of sketches on the endless woods, mountain and mist in Taiwan. His portrayal of landscapes allows him to explore the philosophical connection between himself, his vision and his spirit. By reinterpreting of natural landscape with his paintbrush, Lin expresses his proximity and genuine conversations with nature. His artworks have been included in the collections of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan Art Bank, National Chiao Tung University Arts Center, and E. Sun Bank.
