Dragoș BĂDIȚĂ Romania, b. 1987

Born in 1987, Dragoș Bădiță resides and works in Bucharest, Romania. A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Cluj, he has showcased his art in exhibitions spanning Bucharest, Cluj, London, Copenhagen, Athens, Ghent, Mallorca, Rome, Leipzig, Stockholm, Como, and Berlin. Bădiță primarily engages with physical media, specializing in oil and ink painting, while also venturing into the realms of generative art and animation.

His artistic creations draw inspiration from ordinary, lived moments, imbued with existential and sometimes mystical themes and states of mind. Delving into the transient nature of experience, his works explore the intricate connections between individual moments and a broader understanding of reality. Bădiță's pieces prompt contemplation on our relationships with nature, the body, others, the ever-shifting nature of the self, the inexorable march of decay and dissolution, and the inherent challenges of comprehending the inner worlds of those around us. The figurative paintings in Bădiță's portfolio reflect influences from Flemish and Danish painters, offering a contemporary contrast through his distinctive framing choices and the seamless amalgamation of motifs and fantastical landscapes.
