LEE Kai-Chen was born in Taiwan in 1990, and currently lives and works in Taipei. She received her MFA from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts, where she specialized in ink painting.
Through the act of “gathering,” Lee cultivates an intimate relationship with the environment in which she lives. This everyday process of excavation informs her practice, as brush and ink, together with the delicate textures of paper, subtly evoke the flow of time and the intertwined disappearance of objects.
In 2021, Lee was featured in the cover story of the April issue of CANS Asia Art News’s NEW ART section. Her solo exhibitions include Breath in the Interstice at San Gallery in 2026 and A White Case at MUMU Gallery in 2023.
