Born in Taipei in 1995, Pan Chi-Fang earned his MFA from the Department of Arts and Design at the National Tsing Hua University in 2020 and now lives and works in Taipei. An avid wanderer of nature, he finds in his depiction of landscape a means of communication between the self and the external world, making it a central theme in his artistic practice. Pan is fascinated with all kinds of “relationships” within the frames of his paintings. He transforms everyday objects, subjects, moods, and characters into dialogues of composition, form, brushwork, and color on canvas. Through the collision of clarity and ambiguity. And consequently, he creates landscapes infused with “scent”, “memory”, and “impression”, inviting viewers into a deeply personal emotional experience.
